Archery for all ages
You’re never too old and only rarely too young to enjoy the mildly addictive sport of target archery which we offer right here in Marlborough.
We recently hosted Fiona Terry’s parents who were visiting from the UK and who had not tried archery before.
We fitted them up with appropriate bows for their abilities, did an eye dominance test , donned arm guards and away they went. Both are in the 70’s and in no time they were hitting the targets at 10 metres and then as their skill levels quickly improved, they were hitting balloons pinned to the targets.
This one hour session had them beaming from ear to ear and gave them the confidence to have a go at new and different activities.
Our youngest archer was aged 8 and our oldest, a little over 80, so it really is a sport for all ages.
